Summary - The Quick Reference Guides for The North Carolina Standard Course of Study serve as a resource for teachers as they plan instruction to implement the North Carolina Standard Course of Study across multiple disciplines. There are nine Quick Reference Guides – one for each of the grade levels from kindergarten through eighth grade. The inclusion of standards for all subject areas within single, grade-specific documents makes planning for instruction more efficient and may be particularly useful for grade-level educators teaching multiple disciplines or teams of teachers collaborating to plan integrated instruction.
