TAKE NOTICE: The Ashe County Board of Education will hold a special-called hearing in closed session on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. §143-318.11(a), before the rescheduled regular February board meeting. The regular meeting notice change is listed below.

Due to inclement weather, the Ashe County Board of Education has changed the date and time of the February 2026 regular meeting. The Board will now meet on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ashe County Schools Central Services Annex at 320 South Street, Jefferson, NC 28640, and immediately go into closed session in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. §143-318.11(a). The meeting will return to open session at approximately 3:00 p.m.  Meeting Link 

Persons who desire to present public comments at this meeting should send their comments to Rhonda Smith at Rhonda.Smith@ashe.k12.nc.us or by facsimile to (336) 246-7609 no later than noon on Monday, February 9, 2026. Public Comment will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m.
