   Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Emily Roten and this is my eleventh year teaching at Blue Ridge Elementary School. I grew up in Ashe County and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Appalachian State University in 2005. I later received a Master's degree in 2011, also from ASU, in Instructional Technology. I became certified in K-6 education in 2012. My husband Michael and I live in Warrensville with our two boys, Owen and Brysen.
