Welcome to Pre-school
My personal favorite place to be! 

I live in Sparta with my husband, Mitchell & our two dogs, Belle and Benny. Mitchell and I enjoy being a part of youth ministry and spending time with our friends and family. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, watching the snow fall in winter time, and watching movies.

In December of 2006, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Birth - Kindergarten Education from Western Carolina University. In May 2016, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master’s Degree in Reading Education.  

Reading is the foundation on which all academic success is based. If I could leave you with just one piece of advice, it would be, read to your child every single day!

Walt Disney himself said: "There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on treasure island."

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for Ashe County Schools and even more so to be a part of your child's first educational experience! Get ready for a year full of adventure, fun and growing in Pre-K!
