    Middle School 101 Rising 7th Grade Parent Meeting to be held at Ashe County Middle School.

    April 30th for students with last name beginning with A-F @ 6-7:30 pm

    May 1st for students with last name G-M @ 6-7:30 pm

    May 3rd for students last names beginning with N-Z @ 6-7:30 pm

    Parents will have sessions addressing Student Expectations, Academics, Communication, Keys to Success and the ACMS Student Services Dept.  There will also be a tour of the building and parents will have opportunities to ask questions and have any concerns addressed.


    Mrs. Stallings to visit Elementary Schools

    Monday, April 30th Mrs. Stallings will meet with students from Mt. View Elementary. 

    Tuesday, May 1st Mrs. Stallings will meet with students from Westwood Elementary.

    Monday, May 7th Mrs. Stallings will meet with students from BRES.

    Mrs. Stallings, school counselor will meet with students from each of the elementary schools to show a power point, explain registration and answer questions students may have about ACMS. This will be a time for students to ask questions they may have about middle school or their registration sheets.


    Meet in the Middle

    Friday, May 4th students from the three elementary schools will visit ACMS from 11:00-2:00 for Meet in the Middle.  They will be involved in several activities designed to help students get to know one another.  They will also tour the building and have a snack.  Parents if you are interested in participating to help with activities or to send cookies please get a parent volunteer form from your child’s teacher. 

    Student will receive their Student Planning Guide “Everything you Need to Know”, which includes their student registration form on May 4th as they leave MITM.  These will be due back to their teachers on Friday, May 11. 


    ACMS Career Day

    Tuesday, May 8th all elementary students are invited to participate in ACMS’ Career Fair. Each elementary school will travel with 6th grade students to attend the ACMS Career Day. They will have an opportunity to visit numerous exhibits from local businesses and ask questions about education/skills needed, salary and job availability.
